Reegan Haynes created and use AFRO FUZION® dance classes, choreography and technique (est. 2013) (African dance base with hip hop, modern and contemporary dance styles influences) brings a solid awareness of the cultural influences of dance, dancers' lines, placement, power and control. Thus, building a solid versatile dance and performance foundation for commercial, stage, and musical theatre dancers. This dance style empowers artists to go beyond industry trends, understanding the culture of traditional African dance styles, and find the soul of their own dance. and find the soul of their own dance. Creating an environment that mentors, encourages research, and the artistic growth of artists. Preserving the essence of the source of where popular vernacular social dance styles in hip hop culture come from, and the cultural influences of where popular trends originated. Therefore, maintaining the integrity of dance art forms, as it pertains to the African Diaspora. As a result, equipping dancers with the tools to successfully create and connect with the creative material given to them in the professional field of their dance career.
As an educator, for 20 years, Reegan Haynes has had the privilege to share her knowledge to educate and empower dancers; through judging, workshops and masterclasses internationally. Additionally, as a resident choreographer and instructor at studios in Washington, D.C., MD, and CA; including Debbie Reynolds Legacy Studios in North Hollywood, CA. As well as guest masterclass instructor at the International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) Conference. More recently, the Lead Judge for The African Dance Competition LA (ADCLA), dance instructor at University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), and Dance Mission International in Uganda, Africa. ,

Please note: *The program is a 4-week session consisting of four classes on Tuesdays 7pm-10pm. There are No refunds or credits for the program. Registration is on a monthly bases enrollment. Registration payment is due and must be paid in full 7 days prior to the first class of the next 4-week session. Once Registration payment is paid, that payment is for the purchased enrollment session, as listed at checkout, of the program, whether you are in attendance on class dates or not. Payment cannot be transferred to another session or date.
ARTISTS INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM
A more in-depth study into the cultural influences of traditional African dances and culture on Hip Hop culture and dance; within the commercial, stage, and musical theatre industry. How that can be translated into your art work in the industry efficiently and effectively. Expounding on performance choices, while keeping the integrity of your art. We will work on the conditioning, execution, precision and performance of an artist's movement. Also, with a focus on the awareness of dancers' lines, placement, power, and control. Building a solid versatile dance and performance foundation that also explores the freedom of an artist's movement, with the knowledge and techniques that have been studied.
